Privacy Policy

This is the Holiday shop talking — not a law firm and not a data company. Five Star is family owned and operated. If you call, text, or leave a note about a car, here is what we do with that information.

Who we are

Five Star Auto Repair (also 5-Star Auto Repair, 5 Star Auto, and Five Star Automotive) is operated by Cahill's Appearance & Protection LLC, a Florida limited liability company, doing business as Five Star Auto Repair. We are a family owned and operated shop at 5334 Mile Stretch Dr, Holiday, FL 34690. Owner Andrew Cahill. Phone 727-942-2733. Email fivestarauto86@gmail.com. One address on Mile Stretch Drive. No second storefront.

What we collect

We collect a name, phone number, email address, vehicle, and repair notes. That comes in from this website (the appointment form, the text sign-up form, and any message you send), from phone calls to 727-942-2733, from OpenShop (our shop management software, where the bays write up a job), and from text messages. If you sign up for texts we also keep a record of your consent: the number, which kinds of texts you chose, the date and time, and how you signed up. If you only leave a first name and a plate, that is what we have. We do not buy lists. We do not scrape neighbors’ numbers off the internet to text them.

How we use it

We use it to call you back, schedule the car, write the repair, send a status or a recap, and keep the shop record straight. Photos of a job can go to the email you gave us. If — and only if — you separately opted in to shop specials, we may text you occasional promotions. We do not use your number to sell you a Care Plan or a product we do not offer. Financing talk, when you ask, is Sunbit and Affirm at the counter — not a checkout on this site.

Text messages (SMS terms)

Five Star Auto Repair (operated by Cahill's Appearance & Protection LLC) sends texts only to people who opted in. You can opt in three ways:

  • On our website — on the text sign-up page (www.5-starautorepair.com/sms-opt-in) or by checking the optional text box on the appointment form. The boxes are never pre-checked.
  • At the counter or on the phone — our service writer asks, “Can we text you updates about your vehicle at this number? Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime.” If you say yes, we note the date and how you agreed on your customer record. We ask about specials separately.
  • By text — text JOIN to 727-472-4134 for vehicle updates. Shop specials are sent only if you separately check the optional specials box on the text sign-up page or tell our staff you want them (up to 4 per month).

Service texts cover appointment confirmations and reminders, estimates and repair approvals, ready-for-pickup notices, invoices and payment links, and replies to your questions. Promotional texts (seasonal specials and offers) go only to people who separately opted in to specials, up to 4 per month.

  • Message frequency varies (usually 1–5 texts per repair visit; up to 4 promotional texts per month if you opted in to specials).
  • Msg & data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time. We confirm once and then stop texting that number.
  • Reply HELP for help, or call 727-942-2733 or email fivestarauto86@gmail.com.
  • Reply START to resubscribe.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase and is not required to have your car repaired. You can always call the shop instead.

No sharing of mobile information

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is not shared with third parties for marketing. This data is shared only with vendors that help us deliver the messages (our texting provider, Twilio, and our shop software, OpenShop), and only to provide this service. Your number is for this Holiday shop to reach you about your vehicle — not for someone else to pitch tires or a warranty.

Vendors that help run the shop

Website hosting, OpenShop (our shop management software), and Twilio (voice and SMS) may process the same kinds of information so the site stays up, the write-up stays in the shop system, and a call or text can go through. They get it only to run those tools — not to market their own products to you through us. This site does not run an advertising pixel. The contact page loads a Google Map from Google when you open it. The host may keep ordinary server logs (such as an IP address and the page requested).

Review or delete your information

Call 727-942-2733 or email fivestarauto86@gmail.com and ask Andrew or the desk to look up what we have, correct it, or delete what the shop does not need to keep for the repair record. Identify the phone number or the vehicle so we are not guessing which Holiday customer you are.
